I just replaced the bearings on the spindles of my mower deck, but can not find the torque spec. for the pulley nut that tightens the bearings. The deck is a RCK60B that is on my BX2230 the part # of the pulley is K5371-3458-0 .

I do have a Buhler parts manual for 60 inch deck.
Although it's not the same make I'd hazard a guess that the torque values are similar.

I would be more than to provide values if no one responds in a timely fashion.
I would need bolt diameter and SAE value.

Say the word!

ok heres whatmy manual says,,,,make sure the cup washers are not flatened out or worn: this will cause blades to slip

Tighten the three blade bolts to 98 -117.6 N ( 10 -12 kgf-m) or in my case
72 to 87 ft-lbs of torque,,,, oh yeah it a 30.2mm socket,, I just look through the box till I fond one that fits
And when you put the cup washers back on the high side of the washer goes toward the bolt head put those 2 on and then the flat washer and bolte it down,,I use an impact wrench set at 90 psi, hope this helps

Thanks Skeets but I am talking about the nut on top of the spindle, not the bolt that holds the blades on. The top nut sets the pressure on the bearings on the spindle by pushing the pulley assembly against the bearings. I believe this could be over tightened. The bottom bolt sets the pressure on the blades and I thank you for that information.
