I had a tooth bar that was 76" long. It must have been welded at the bottom of the bucket in it's previous life, because the under pieces were torched off leaving just a little toe to fit under the loader edge.

I decided to remove the end mount pieces and cut down the iron to fit in a 5' bucket. Then weld the end pieces back on.

In an ideal situation the outside teeth would be at the very outside of the bar. These are in about 3". I will use this tooth bar while cleaning a path to a water gap that always needs attention. Mostly back-dragging to clear up brush and small broken limbs.

The outermost tooth in the last picture is not welded, just setting there. I don't know if it will be any benefit to be there. It will not leave much room to remove the roll pin if I need to replace the tip. But for me, the teeth will last a couple of lifetimes!!
