Good morning everyone! It’s my first post about my first tractor, Kubota L4701DT. Delivered a couple of days ago. I got out with it yesterday around the property and frequently got fumes blowing back in my face to breath. Obviously I’m not going to use it indoors and get CO toxicity, but outside, it’s quite annoying. Is there a modification/attachment or something that directs the exhaust fumes behind the driver like in a car, or even a stack attachment to send it above the level of the driver as high as that ROPS rollbar?

Had a similar problem with exhaust in that the tail pipe had rusted some
and was not clearing the side panel.
Hate diesel exhaust with a passion having spent too much time in armored
military convoys, cough, cough, cough.
Found a piece of chrome tail pipe used in sink plumbing 1 3/8" ? about 1' long, maybe 1 1/2' and slipped it over the existing tail pipe. It just clears the inside of the loader arm.
Cleaned up the exhaust alot for $6 . It spins off and on so easily removed if
the side panel need to come off.

Paul and Kathy short make something like this for small tractors. maybe you could fab up something similar

Had this problem with my B7100. Exhaust went out below hood level, towards the front.
Unbolted the muffler, turned it 90 degrees vertical, removed the chrome "snout", and added an extension pipe to raise the outlet to about ROPs height. Problem solved.

Google orchard tractors. They all have the exhaust running underneath like a car. It can pose a fire hazard in high dry grass and I believe that's why they are not more popular. Kubota sells kits that enable this conversion on some models. I would call Messicks and see what they have to say. Do report your findings. Thanks.

I think this mod was done to direct the soot off the front end implements.
Off topic, but i kind of wish the lx2610 cab exhaust went straight up into the air. Anyone done this yet?
The Ford 9N exhaust was beneath/behind the rear axle. It was fine except when hooking up the 3pt implements when it’d stifle you.
An automotive/truck muffler-shop should be able to fix you up. They usually have hydraulic pipe/forming machines that can route an exhaust pipe any which way you want.

It's actually described in the manual, and Kubota sold an optional extension for vertical use, similar to your pipe.
Mine came vertical, but the PO installed a short piece of pipe with a rain flapper, which worked well. But then I built a cab and made the whole thing moot. lol
The exhaust on my Ford 1210 originally pointed out the front. When the muffler failed and I couldn't find a direct replacement, I bought a small glasspack and ran it straight up. The height is approx. level with my head when seated. Top is finished off with a flapper.
This old tractor has a strong exhaust smell, but directing it up has made it unnoticeable.
