Hi eveeryone. im new here and could use a little help. i was using my fathers B6000 that he built a front end loader for. it works great but i tipped it on its side. it took me and my wife 15 to 20 minutes to upright it. in that time some transmission fluid leaked out from around the boot on the shifter and a bunch of really light and really black oil leaked out from somewhere around the inside of the front wheel. my fater hasnt had the tractor long and said i should go the the website for help. i still need to use it but dont want to damage it. just wondering what fluids to use, where the fill points are and what the levels should be. also is there anything else i should check out after a tip over. i have started it and it starts and runs fine. any help would be appreciated. thank you

The black oil sounds like engine oil to me. You really should make sure of the oil level before you use it any at all. It should have a dip stick on the left side about mid engine. It will have upper and lower marks on there.

Maybe you should let your dad tip it over next time.

Lucky you didn't lose a leg........or worse.

Sounds like you need some ballast.

If it doesn't have a sealed battery it probably leaked acid out. That needs to be washed out so it doesn't eat the battery compartment up and water should be added back to the battery.

Well when I did the same thing :mad::mad: I called the dealer and a family friend (at the time a Kubota dealer parts guy) They both told me to LEAVE IT ALONE for 24-36 hours the longer the better. The reason giving was that oil could have leaked into the cylinders Then check all fluid leavels. then the process of checking how bad or good it is. Turn over the motor by hand NOT THE STARTER, If no restance is encountered bump the starter a few times DO NOT TRY TO START YET. Then go ahead and try to start it. IF ANY RESTANCE IS FOUND STOP and call a mechanic

Good advice- he already started it, and it is running. So, it isn't hydrolocked. Otherwise, the longer you can go, and the more thorough you can be inspecting everything, the better.
I don't have a manual transmission tractor, although I am very familiar with them. You should have a dipstick for the transmission-
here is a post from another forum-
"To right of shifter is rubber "stopper"...that's trans dipstick. Fill port is rubber plug on l side shifter. Straight down to bottom l side is drain. There's a cleanable filter plug on line from pump where enters r side case... "
That sound right to you guys with similar tractors?

Take a look at the rear axle hubs- you should be able to move them out farther, widening the stance.
I use Rotella 15W-40 year round in mine.

I dont want to sound out of line but most all wheel tractors should have weighted rear tires I put water in mine it helps with traction and helps prevent roll overs . I can say one thing and thats your so very lucky not to have been hurt. I was like everyone else when I saw my GL3830 came with a seat belt but when a friend of mine was killed in a backhoe roll over that was all it took to make a beliver out of me when it comes to equipment seat belts I wear them all the time .

e/s is right do not start it until you have someone pull the injectors
or you can bend a rod[/QUOTE

Or you can just pull the compression release and spin it over to clear the cylinders. If you do not have a release, just unscrew the glow plugs and spin it over. There is no need to remove the injectors.

Most of us read the post where he had already started the tractor..
