hello,
I have a D850 thermosyphoon engine.
I come across a front timing cover for the D850 which had a coolant pump.

I know I need to source thermostat housings and pump but
are they a direct swap? (From non pump cooled to being pump cooled?
Are there any variations in the engine cooling jackets?

Thank you
Joseph

Hello. i am doing some research. it seems like that the block designed for the coolant pump has an extra whole in the front face of the block. it is missing in the thermosyphon version :(

That cover will bolt right on a engine that was a therosipon engine, the blocks are the same.
You will need a different housing for the top hose that has the thermostat in it.

Parts from a D750 (all were thermosiphon) D850 (can be either), or D950 (all were water pump equipped).
All take the same front covers.
Note: There are mutiple gaskets and they are all different.
