Im looking for a 3pt PTO drive tiller. Have a new King Kutter II gear- drive available locally for $1400 and change for a 60". Not able to off-set it but it is quich hitch compatable. Any better choices out there?

There are a ton of good choices. For me, I chose the King Kutter because for what was available locally, it was the best built and best priced of any option. So, if you are willing to order online, you may find a better deal than $1400, although that is a good price based on what I was looking at in my area, and you may find a tiller that is as good or better than the KK but not as heavy- the KK is very heavy. I chose to buy locally, so that I had a place to go for parts close by. I paid about $1400 for a 48" KK, and that was hundreds less than any other option available.

This is new 60" gear-drive on sale for $1429. I really like the landpride but at $800 or so higher and a 4-6 week wait is making the KK look really good. rating is for 25-40hp. I prefer to support local business whenever possible.

Well, I did it. I bought the KK gear drive. it is heavy built 700 pounds and works great. there is a little offset but not adjustable but that's OK because it takes out my right wheel track and all but about 3" of the left. The 60" is working width and with the outside gear/hub assmbly it is the same width as my Grand L with the R4 industrial tires. I'm very impressed with it. I will try it on virgin sod tonight but on bare ground disced last fall I tilled 5'x120' in 5 minutes to a beautiful powder loam, level and ready for seeding.
