Does this kit affect how one changes the transmission oil? In other words, is it necessary to take off the fitting on top of the transmission in order to refill it after draining the oil?
I'm asking because it doesn't look like it would vent very well and the directions say to fill the transmission completely before installing the fitting. I was considering machining a threaded hole in the top of it to install something like a transmission drain plug, or crankcase drain plug that has a gasket on it.
