My TG1860G has a shock/piston to help raise the deck. Before I buy a replacement piston, I'm wondering how much effort it should take to lift the deck. On the way up, once the slack is taken out of the lever, I have to use what I consider a lot of strength to lift it to the locked up position. Almost feels like I'm lifting all of the deck weight. Is that normal, or should the piston be able to push it up most of the way for me? Same thing with the blade and snowblower when attached.

On my TG1860G, I always thought that it took to way too much effort to get it up. (I know what some of you are thinking. Shame, Shame on you.:D)

On my new Z121S, they have you use your foot to raise the deck for exactly that reason. Because of all the complaints from it weighing too much to do it by hand.

Yes, I agree the deck is quite heavy to lift. Takes some leverage, but it doesn't get adjusted much with me, so I don't think much about it.

I actually never knew it had an assist piston for the deck! I raise it by the lever, adjust the knob and let it be.

Good to know, thanks! I thought something was wrong, but sounds like the deck is just heavy. The snowblower on the other hand can't be lifted with the normal lever. Definitely needs the additional arm that comes with the quick attach. I can let it down with the lever, though.

At least you have a snowblower for yours. They're scarce as hen's teeth around here. :(

I have one in new condition. I can strap to a pallet and take to nearest Fastenal for you to pick up at your store. Has the mounting frame and the owner's manual.
