Thanks to all you guys! I can always count on this forum to answer questions and provide support to make the tractoring safer and more efficient.
The final solution: Stuck a 10A fuse in the plug, kept the revs up at 2200 and periodically checked for heat in the wires / connectors / pump motor. I was able to empty three 25 gallon runs across all the weeds and everything functioned perfectly. Now to watch the nasty thistles wither and die, die, die!
