Temperature gage fluttering

I have a BX1500. Recently the temp gage flutters rapidly. The radiator cap is new, the radiator is full of coolant. Any suggestions is greatly appreciated.

I would say you have a bad sender or gauge!
Does it bounce back and forth when the engine is off BUT the key is in the on position - after a warm up?

Do you have an infrared thermometer? If so - take some readings to see what the temps really are.

Could also have a bad wiring connection or corroded connectors.
