Well, I don't think we've 'fallen' to this level, I think it is always there. When you don't see something as 'anything' it's easy to fall prey to this stuff. So I can't quite call them not human, it's an entirely human thing to do. It is not HUMANE which to your point would be killing them in a quick and respectable fashion that doesn't induce a lot of pain and suffering or fear.If you've ever been badly burned or in / around an explosion you would understand why doing that on purpose is wrong on so many levels!
In most states that would put you in Jail for animal cruelty, wild or not they are still animals that should be put down humanely.
Made me kind of sick to my stomach to think our society thinks this is normal and You tube allows people to post such stupidity / insanity.
True that brother! I would think two fellows with AR's could have dispatched the whole herd in a short time?If you've ever been badly burned or in / around an explosion you would understand why doing that on purpose is wrong on so many levels!

Texas is being overrun in several areas with feral hogs. It's quite the problem. It is disturbing to say the least. Hunting and a clean kill. The only way. Thought they was good eating?
We have no such problem around here, did 20 years ago, but they were legal to shoot as long as you had a big game licence. Took a few years to get the 20 or so that escaped from a farm.
So i watched a video a while back, HeliHoggin. It was a 50 cal from a helicopter. The shooter and big bore rifle were a lethal combination.
It really depends on where they are getting there food. Got a couple one year here in arkansas where they were getting into some corn feeders for deer. They were good. Following year I got one in a swampy area in florida. Fried up a couple of chops, took one bite and cleaned the rest of the meat out of the freezer and tossed it. Wasn't spoiled, but man you could taste the muckThought they was good eating?
.
I said as much but I feel we do need to reflect on how we treat animals. We created the Feral Hog problem ourselves and we're smart enough to fix it in a humane way.Out there in feral hog country, they do serious damage to crops, and a pissed off farmer has to use smarts, not money, and ain't to likely to worry about city people's scruples, when he's fighting for a living...
