The tachometer stopped working recently.
Any ideas on where to start with troubleshooting this issue?
Thank you
There is a tachometer drive cable (#30) going from the front of the engine to the instrument cluster that has probably failed.
Unscrew the cable from the tach drive on the front of the engine and spin the inner cable while watching the tach needle. It should jump up some.
If it doesn't, disconnect the cable from the 90-degree adapter on the dash panel and spin the inner core while watching the other end to see if the core is spinning. If it isn't, replace the cable assembly.

If it does spin, check both the tach drive on the front of the engine and the angle adapter (#130) on the dash panel.

Hint: It's almost always the cable assembly that has failed.
