I just purchased my first Kubota a L2800 it needs a bit of tinkering but its pretty awesome. First problem is its missing the tachometer cable don't know why but it wasn't there when I bought it. How do I find one for it ? second issue is a 2 part problem 1st the hydraulics have a slow settle well its pretty quick is there a good starting point to check? and 2nd the hydraulic fluid is a milky brown I have changed it once but it remains milky is there a good way to combat that ?

Tach cable is gone probably due to it NOT working.....pulled and never replaced. You might be able to find another cable, only to find out the TACH is also bad......if you must have tach - you can buy a HALL EFFECT meter :

Slow settle? AS in over night the bucket lowers itself? On a older machine this is normal, if running - a really bad thing.

Milky - bad news .....water in the mix, it may take a few more empties and fills to get that clean, change the filter EACH time too......

I would find some UDT to "rinse" with and then use the same once it clears up, or if you wallet is still intact, use some S-UDT2 for the final.

Keep the machine covered when not in use to prevent this in the future;)

The milky hydraulics will probably take a few changes before it clears up. There are drain plugs on the rear axle housing. You'll need to pull those plugs as well when draining the transmission. If you have a loader, then you will have milky oil in the cylinders as well.

You can go to kubota.com. click on parts, then illustrated parts lists. Click on i agree. Then you get to a search bar. Type in L2800. It will bring up the different models of L2800. Click on the one that matches the model number on your tractor and search away. You will have access to all the parts diagrams.

You can also call the dealer, tell them you need the tach cable for a L2800 and they should be able to look it up for you :D
