t1600h wont run after intial start. Ingintion switch?

I have a T1600 H that will start fine but die/kill as soon as you release the key. (I tried to search forum but had no luck)

I'm trying to find a source for a new ignition switch but have been unsuccessful. Any ideas? local Kubota dealer has none in stock & wants $125 to order one.

I have seen many listed on eBay for $25-60 but they don't list the T1600 in model listing.
Am I on the right path? does this sound like a bad ignition switch or is there something else I'm overlooking?

Depends on the fuel shutoff, it may not be holding, due to a bad solenoid, ground fuse or loose connection. That is , if it uses this type of solenoid. Best to locate a workshop manual and troubleshoot the problem. Price of manual/download may save you in the part(s) you throw at it til its corrected.
