SVL75-2 hard start

I just purchased a 2016 svl75-2 Its pretty much sat in the shop for the last couple of days. I had to add some hydraulic fluid in the reservoir so i got into start it. It seems to take a little longer to start. Once started it ran fine. I remember reading somewhere that kubota recommends disconnecting the battery if its going to sit. Do you guys normally do that?

How cold was it in the shop?
Sit how long? I just put a battery maintainer on my stuff once a month for a few days if it sits for that long.

After seeing about 'computer' problems with these new machine, I suggest keeping a real 'maintainer' on the battery 24/7.

Most newer vehicles have an on board computer of some sort. It is always drawing power, even when the key is turned off. Using a battery maintainer is a very good idea. There are also switches for disconnecting the battery when not in use. You might also consider having the battery load tested every year or so to get an idea of its condition.

It sat maybe 48hrs. IT wasn't that cold at night it got in the 30s but its probably 40-50s in the shop. I'll look at getting a maintainer

FYI..... My garage is 50*F and the BX23S needs 5 steamboats of glowplugs to reliably start.

Your owner's manual should have a chart of glowplug time vs temperature unless some 'computer' controls it.

Was it cranking slow? = Battery low or needs replaced, have it load tested!

Was it cranking fast yet wouldn't fire? = Test glow plugs one or more being dead will cause that, other options would be fuel related, like dirty filters restricting flow, or old fuel with low cetane, or more in depth, dirty, clogged, worn injectors not giving a good spray pattern!
