Recently having a leak at the top fittings ..... where the quick connect fitting screws into the aluminum body.
It uses an o-ring at the base.....

I've tightened it as far as it will go, o-ring seems good.... but still weeps.....

anyone else encounter a similar leak?

I have been guilty of pushing the button in the wrong direction occasionally... putting line pressure into the system... trying to get better about that....

anyway, I don't like the o-ring seal design... seems like a bad design for a pressurized hydraulic system....

I'm gonna take it apart today and see if I can put some thread sealant on it....

Thats an SAE-08 oring boss port and the gold standard for hydraulic system pressures up to 9,000 PSI.

Tighten the coupler to 40 lb-ft. If it still leaks replace the O-ring. The orings are specials used only for ORB fittings.

Thread sealant on an ORB fitting will do nothing except make a mess and possibly contaminate the hydraulic system.
