Stump Bucket

I have a L3540 HSTC with a Q/A loader. Has anyone tried a stump bucket on a tractor this size for removing 8" or less stumps?

I used a stump bucket on my L3901 to dig this out. It had 4 tree trunks growing out of it. Each tree trunk was between 18-24". It was so large I had trouble getting it out of the hole. I have since moved up to an MX4800 for a little extra lift capacity.

I wish they made a small version for the BX, would come in handy at the lake. Many a stump & rocks to remove/move around.

We have the BH BX25D for getting stumps out and BXExpanded makes a piranha bar for root ripping.
I've been toying with the idea of getting a BH buck quick change and a bar. Just not enough stumps to remove to justify it. Most stumps, I cut low to the ground in the woods and leave to riot.

Yes the 25D does a nice job with the BH, some smaller stumps the bucket would be quicker. I have the BH quick connect from BXpanded and it is very nice...only a minute to go from the bucket to the ripper. The ripper is amazing on roots, that shaved close to 75% on stump removal.

Just got a stump bucket grapple from Prime Attachments. I have it on a L4060 with LA805. It's 550 lbs. I've used it to remove small (less than 4inch) trees without any trouble. Takes 1 minute to scoop up the roots, and drag the entire tree to wherever you want. Took out an old stump, 16 inches across, and cut at 12 inches above ground. That took a little more time, but was able to get it out. It's also good for demolition. I took out a rotten deck in no time.
