The brake pedal om my BX24 has been stcky for some time. When The pedal was depressed it would not come back up on it's own. Today I decided it needed to be fixed so that I wouldn't ruin the brakes( if they aren't already) I detached the bar behind the right rear wheel that connects the pedal assembly to the brakes and the pedal was still real stiff, so the problem was in the the pedal assembly. There are two pivot points for the pedal in the left and right frame rails. There is bushing at each pivot point. The bushing in the left frame is held in by a roll pin and was pretty easy to get out and wasn't too bad, but is was rusty. The bushing in the right frame rail cannot be removed because that is the side that the pedal itself is welded to. That bushing would barely move and it took me some time with penetrating fluid and using a screwdriver and a pry wedge to get the shaft to slide in the bushing. I was finally able to get at the pivot point where the shaft rotated in the bushing and get some grease on it. With grease on both sides it now moves really free. All back together and the pedal pops back up like it should. Those bushings really should have a grease fitting on them. The first design problem I've seen on my little Kubota. If I every have need to take the tractor apart far enough to get that right bushing out of the frame, I will add grease fittings to both bushings.
