Time to step it up. Amazon had a good price on a 58 gal transfer tank with an electric pump this week. Should be in capacity of the FEL to lift it when full. Seeing that it lifted my 6’ land plane I’m looking forward to a new fuel experience. Once full I will have 108 gal capacity on hand. Still need to properly install the handle with some teflon tape

That's the way to go. I have 106 gallon and 58 gallon JDI fuel tanks currently sitting on pallets in the aluminum trailer. The last time I filled up one of the tractors, I rigged up a DeWalt battery which is easier than some other alternatives, but I do need to figure out a more convenient way to use the numerous tool batteries that I have on hand.

I love those things, but I'd rather have it in a 30g size. I settles on the FloFast 15g setup for my needs.
I'm heading up the ALCAN Highway next year with a friend to go on a Caribou hunt so I think I'll be bringing both fuel tanks. The F-450 has a 48 gallon tank, so combined with 164 gallons in two tanks I should have a range of around 3,000 miles. That could come in handy out there, not to mention the possibility of buying fuel at a cheaper price i.e. hedging in futures.

The bigger JDI tank has a spot for a DEF tank as well, so I might need to look into adding that accessory, or taking the F-250 instead.

I have a 30 gal Arksen tank with a hand pump. Fits good in tight spaces but not good for loading up and hauling to a gas station so I’m left with the 5 gal transfer jugs to fill it up.

I'm cheap!

Once I have time I plan to assemble the 55 gallon barrel and filter, hose, build a cradle and pallet, plus a elevated dolly for it, gravity flow works out of a 5 gallon jug, don't see why it won't work out of a 55 gallon barrel ...

My SCUT should be able to lift it out of my pickup bed ...

I hope to set the pallet on the dolly inside of the garage so I can wheel it around in the insulated garage, dolly height should work to fuel the SCUT, will need to pick it up with the SCUT to fill the CUT with the fuel tank filler on top of the hood ... SCUT doesn't fit in the garage without a pain in the backside lowering of the ROPS, only ever done it once, never again, stupid system!!!

Works fine. Most farmers here have a heating oil tank sitting high on scary looking concrete block pedestals. The delivery truck has a pump anyway to get it up. Don't forget venting the barrel.

I was cheap for the first five years of tractor ownership, but then it occurred to me that the cost of a nice fuel storage and dispensing system pales in comparison to the cost of the fuel that will go into and out of it over the years. Admittedly, when I had the BX I rarely had to put diesel in it but that changed when I upgraded to bigger cabbed tractors that see a lot more use. We all have different ideas as to how we justify the convenience or the pleasure that comes from using well thought out tools or equipment that usually cost more.

I wanted something that was weatherproof, lockable, stable, easy to move around, and that would sit nicely in the bed of my truck or on a trailer for road trips, or when doing tractor related jobs away from home. For those who are only looking for a better refueling experience at home there are plenty of easy and cheap solutions.
