Starts up, then stalls

Hello everyone. I'm a fairly new Kubota owner and have an MX5400 that I purchased new in 2022. The issue I am having is I went out to use my tractor to move some hay bales. We just got hit with some cold weather and so I started it up to let it run for a bit before operating. After some time I went back out to use it and stepped on the gas and it stalled. I figured I'd start it back up and let it warm up a bit more and try again. Now I am seeing two blinking lights. One is the regeneration indicator, and the other is the Engine RPM Increase indicator. I'm thinking I may have hit one of the buttons by mistake when wiping the dash area to clear off snow. But I'm not 100% sure if these things are correlated or not. Does anyone here have any ideas?? (I topped off the diesel tank so I know it's got plenty of fuel). Appreciate any insight or suggestions. Thanks in advance!

Is it running or will it not start now?

The description you provided means that the tractor needs to go through the regeneration cycle to clean off the particulate filter (DPF). To do that the engine needs to be hot and above some engine RPM.

There may be a button to inhibit the regeneration cycle but eventually you MUST do the cycle or your tractor will go into limp mode and you would have to get a dealer to force the cycle.

If you have the owners manual you should read through it a few times on the procendure to understand it. There are also probably labels that try to indicate what is required.

I have read that the instructions may be confusing on some tractors but when explained to you they can be easily followed.

If the tractor will start, just go for it. If the tractor won’t start you may have to get a dealer involved.

I just went thru this on my mx5200. It was running fine plowing snow on our road, Then just died and wouldn't restart. The fuel pump was running, but after removing the fuel line, no fuel was being pumped, just bubbles. To shorten the story, the drain bowl was letting air in the line. I guess the cold air had caused some shrinkage in the o ring at the top of the bowl. I retightened the fuel bowl nut and everything started working.

Just a guess here. It probably needs a regen, that is unrelated to the stalling.

If it starts and runs fine, then stalls when stepping on the treadle pedal, I would start at the seat switch. You said you had to clear snow, so it obviously outside. Switch could be frozen and not operating correctly.
