good morning,
we have a 2000 L2600 dt kubota with a front end loader. it wont start and sounds like the battery is bad. i exchanged the battery for a new one, hooked it up and had same result. i took battery off and took it back to parts store to verify it was a good battery. it was.
i removed the starter and had it tested at auto shop and its good. i replaced the cables from battery to starter and STILL drags like battery is dead/starter bad/etc.

anyone else ever had this experience?

Try to clean the ground spot on the frame where the negative cable attaches.

Also you can attach a ground cable directly to the starter (jumper cable). There have been reports of bad grounding between the starter and engine. You also can try to clean the connection between the starter if the negative jumper helps.
