I have never seen anything like it. Those chickens need snowshoes...ha ha
We have only had snow here once or twice in ten years or so.
Good luck

That looks like it was a lot of back-and-forth with a blade and bucket. I think it was a good application for a blower.

I know, I know, that's just the way it is there.
Glad to see someone else has about as much snow as us!

That's what you get for living up there.

When I was in the military, we learned all about snowfall, because it didn't seem to mater where we were stationed, they got unusual amounts of snow while we were there.

Of course we expected a lot of snow in places like Omaha, NE and Alaska but
in Tucson, AZ they got measurable snow more than once.
In Sumter, SC they got 23" in one day.
Even in Japan, outside of Tokyo, they got measurable snow for the first time in 50 years.

That is why when we retired we moved back down South.
Sure enough, we got 12" of snow here 2 years ago.

It could have been, but I don't have one, and they are a bit expensive. When I bought the tractor, I decided I would get more use out of a set of pallet forks and ph-15 than the blower. This winter has been atypical for recent years, usually the blade and bucket would be plenty. And actually, this snow, by the time I got around to moving it out of the secondary areas, it had frozen so hard ,the FEL was needed to break it up anyway, as you can see from the snow boulders in some of the pics. The other thing is, we have very little area to clear that is not gravel or dirt, I would chew a blower up with rocks quite quickly.

That looks familiar, all the trees are at our cabin (but we do have a couple in front of the house, I have to come up with a watering system for any more here)...

We will be doing quite a bit of work at the cabin this summer with the tractor also.

lol, When I was in basic, one of the favorite stories for Lackland was about the security guys (I was in security police tech school at the time) who pulled over a car with a couple guys in it. It had snowed and the base was closed down because there was a couple inches of snow on the ground. Anyway, they asked the guys why they were out, and they told them they were from Montana and asked why the base was closed down because of so little snow. The cops radioed in that they gave them permission to carry on because they were from Montana. Those guys ended up having to haul things around the base all day though....

This is last winter, for comparison. I do have to admit that we probably wouldn't have ended up with the new tractor without all the xtra snow this year, at least not so soon.

This year has been abnormally light with snow for us this year, but here are a few pics from the last few years when I was tackling everything with my little JD225 and blower! Glad to have the B2601 now! Although it didn't help me when shoveling off the roof.
