I'm still taking leaves and brush to the town composting pile today. I will post again after I switch everything over. What a warm November we are having up here in New England!! Only pulled my jacket out of the closet three days ago.

BX1870 with front blade, FEL in reserve, and ROPS lights. We're supposed to get 8" of snow today, so I'll clear things off before my wife gets home from work.

I live in Florida - I don't know anything about moving snow!

Question -for you Northerners:
With the rear mounted, 3-point hitch style Snow Blowers, do you have to "backup" (drive in Reverse) the entire time your snow clearing - or do you drive forward over the fresh snow then let it hit the blower?

Yep the 3pt's operate in reverse only. You get use to it pretty quick and sit sideways.

I use my backblade in reverse for the heavy stuff and forward for 6" or less. I think I'm better at driving the machine backwards than forwards:confused:

Man - don't rub it in!!:p:p

I've lived in upstate New York all my life.

Ever heard of Lake Effect Snow??

We get just the tail of it here, but it's really something in directly west of Lake Ontario and Lake Erie!

Snowblower on - ready to go!!

I measured 12.5" of heavy, wet, snow away from the house this evening. I took my rig out three times. The thing plows great with 4wd, both down and up my steep driveway. The ROPS lights made it like daytime this evening.

BX is torn down and more tearing down to go. So, being the least prepared, I'm lucky to have a city lot and a snow blower

That cab looks "big" on the little BX. I'll bet it's cozy in there.
