I asked a question about my M9960D Trans. or gear noise with no response. So besides taking tractor to dealer and them guessing, what website or who may know ? Not trying to be a smart Alec , would just like to be knowledgeable about problem. Thanks

I could come up with 3 dozen or more, could be this or could be that, I just can not hear the noise from here.

My guess is that Wolfman has some things going on that have limited his screen time and:
1. Very few other people who frequent this board are very knowledgeable on the shuttle shift tractors.
2. Those who are, it would probably like to hear it.
3. Nobody wants to provide incorrect answers.

Sorry, I missed your original post. So, here’s my diagnosis…and how to solve the problem:

It’s a bad gear-noise in your transmission.

Buy a good set of headsets, preferably with Sirius Radio, and turn the Volume UP on your favorite music.

IF/When the tranny finally breaks completely, the dealer will not have to guess about it at all.

You’re welcome.

It would help if you could take a short video of the tractor making the noise and post it so folks can hear the noise.

You can’t directly post videos here. Post a video to YouTube. Post the link here.

You need to make a video / audio of the noise post it on Youtube, then give us a link to see / hear what's going with it.
Being a cabbed model you will always get a higher sound level than a non cabbed model.

FYI: There are some of the best Kubota techs out there on here, I don't know of anywhere else that you'll get better answers than here.
