Hello all,

New to the forum and thought I'd introduce myself. I'm Drew, and the new owner of a vintage B7000. Found this forum while researching some things before purchasing my tractor. Excellent site. A thanks to Vic for all the help over the phone.
I went for the Kubota as it was the perfect fit for the little acreage I have and it beat the walk-behind snowblower for getting the long driveway cleared. I talked to a local welder friend of mine about the best way to get more bang for my buck when it came to moving the snowdrifts that pile up when the wind blows. Here is what he came up with: It is a quick attach bucket extension for my existing bucket. Just drive up to it, slip the original bucket into the extension, bolt on the two keepers and your away. I'll let the pics do the talking.........

There is no slop or play in the extension. I can lift and dump with no banging or slop. Now this bucket is more for the straight push, moving a lot of snow fast. I've yet to get a big enough snow to really test it out, but the loader seems to handle it fine.

Welcome Drew, I am fairly new also and this is a great site. I have a B7001 and looking at your FEL, I believe that it is the identical model as on my tractor but there are no markings visible on mine. Can you check yours and let me know if yours has a model number on it.

Service Department Vic, maybe you can shed some light on it. I would like to know for repair purposes should the need arise and no doubt it will give enough time.

First I'd like to say welcome to the neighborhood.

Just a couple of questions. How much does that weigh? Are you able to fill it up with snow lift and dump it? Do you mind we use/steel your idea?

It sure does look sturdy :D

I posted the pics to give ideas to others..........feel free to steal away. I've not had a chance (no snow since the bucket was installed), to really try it out. The bucket is heavy!, but the loader seems to handle it, empty, o.k. The true test will come with the big wet spring storms. My idea was to use it a a big push, not really as a load , lift and dump. If it will lift the bucket enough to empty some out and make another pass i'm happy. When I get a big snow and really give it a performance test, I'll post the results back here.

Does anyone recognize the make & or model of the Front End Loader. Mine is identical and it came with the tractor B7001. I don't know if it is factory or after market but I would like to know in case I need to make repairs etc in the future.

Don,

Sorry to forget about you......I looked all over the loader this weekend and can find no tag or any evidence of a model for the front end loader. I too, would be interested to know if it was OEM or not.

Welcome to the board and that is an AWESOME bucket that should work well for the lighter snow no problem. If you get wet heavy snow drop the big one off and use the smaller one...very slick idea on the design for doing that.
My compliments to the welder who built it, and I can easily tell he's not only a good fabricator but has moved enough snow to understand the pitfalls that one will encounter always.

I'll point out the round pipe instead of the normal cutting edge seen on a regular bucket that not only will be less likely to tear up the yard, it will slide over the terrain smoother and be less stress and less likely to bend or twist the loader arms. Best thing I did was put a 3/4 inch round pipe on the nose of the cutting edge of my front mounter snowblower, and added a 2" pipe between the cutting edges on my box blade keeping both of those edges from cutting in gouging into the dirt.

Nice job! Any pics of the bottom of the original bucket where it sits into the snow bucket? Wondering how high the bottom snow bucket lip is to keep the original bucket secure.
