I have a B7500 tractor with a B2650 snowblower the snow doesn’t throw but only about 8 ft. How can I can I get it to throw farther? I’m thinking it’s the impeller only being 3 blade vs 4. But is there an impeller that would fit ?
Thanks

More blades won't really throw it further.
Speed of the blades is what throws it further.
And snow condition affects distance too.

Are you running it on the front or the rear?
What RPM are you running the tractor at?

I'm thinking the impeller is just fine and more blades won't help at all. You need SPEED.

What RPM are you running?

If you are running at good RPM, maybe a small modification would help. (But get the speed up, first!)

can you help me out as I am a little confused. Isn't the B7500 and B2650 both tractor models (not blower models)???

could you have a front mount blower that needs a 1,000 pto speed to operate with spec. hooked to a 540 pto?

if its too late and I am one too many into my nightly drink please disregard.

There is both a B2650 Blower and a B2650 tractor.
If The B2650 is rear mounted it's run off of a 540 RPM PTO.
If it's front mounted it runs off the Mid PTO which on that model is 2500 RPM.
But that 2500RPM is run through a reduction unit (sprocket and chain in this case) to an output of 540RPM or thereabouts to feed the blower fan and augers.
If the wrong reduction sprockets are used then the unit could be turning to slow.

And yes if a front setup blower is run on the rear it will turn WAY to slow!

My old Loftness's impeller blade to impeller housing clearance was significantly more than in the LandPride acquired with the BX this past April. So far, only powder to medium moisture snowfall. And mostly sub 10 inch snowfall. The Loftness didn't throw snow very far unless it was at least a foot deep. The smaller Landpride even with 4-5" shoots snow deep into the woods. Loftness would throw that depth of snow similar to your snowblower. Maybe a contributing factor?

Tach on the BX2380 notes some rpm above 3000 to reach rear pto speed of 540. So far, 3000 rpm has been working fine. On the NH there was a 540 light on the dash that lit up when pto speed was reached. Guessing both were running close to 540. Why I'm guessing impeller to housing clearance might be the issue.
