Hi. I am new to this forum although no stranger to it. I have recently purchased BX23S and I am considering buying a Bolens 48" 3pt. hitch snow blower. It's not pretty but the price is right and it is in good repair including a hydraulic chute. My question is this.Is this blower in need of more power than the BX can deliver. It just looks a little unwieldy. I haven't had the tractor very long to even have any experience with its abilities. The seller did have it running on an old B8200 which is another tractor that I have at a rather remote location.

The size will work but Id recommend a different brand. Bolens is usually light duty homeowner class equipment...if you lived in Toronto it would probably be ok as you would only use it two times a year.

Your machine will have no problem handling a 48" blower. If it's a good deal buy her up.

I'm running a 50", Buhler 500 on 25 PTO horse power. It runs fine, but in substantial snow it is enough load you do need to go slow. Not a problem as I'm on no ones schedule but my own.

It was available close to home, in very good condition, cheap, and works well. All are my favorite qualities in an implement.
