I don't know if my new Kubota SSQA is normal or not built to specs. Below are some pics of a blank plate that I was going to weld to my pallet forks but I don't know if it fits like it's suppose to. Everything about the plate seems to
measure correctly.

If you have a Kubota tractor with a SSQA please take a look at yours and see how the fit compares to mine. Post some pics if you would.

Thanks

Your SSQA on the tractor looks fine, Now the plate looks like it's not built exactly right.
Here is the specs to check it.

Thanks Wolfman. I'll measure the plate again today.

I don't have any friends or neighbors with a Kubota so I can't see another one up close for comparison.

Do you or anyone else have any pics that I can compare to mine?

Thanks

I sure don't see an issue. Looks like a good fit. Run it (IMO)!

Thanks for the reply.

I'm 62 and have operated tractors for almost 50 years but this is my first venture into the SSQA so bear with me, I'm learning.

I wasn't sure what the fit was suppose to look like but to me the top of the hitch looks like it should be sitting deeper inside the inverted "V". I'd also think that there would be more of the top bearing surface of the hitch resting against the inside of the plate. Maybe with my loader, it wouldn't be a problem. My loader is rated at 1500# of lift.

I'd like to think Kubota builds their comparable models of quick hitches the same but you never know.

I don't know so that's why I ask.

Thanks again for everyone's advise.

I don't disagree about the top, bit its kubotas ssqa design. You could weld a piece in, but there is no need. Your pins have good engagement, so you're good.

is this SSQA for Generic Kubota or just for his model? Ask cause if this was generic Kubota then this would be an important drawing/ spec's to list in the Ultimate Read Me

Here are a couple pictures from my L3901DT, this is with the bucket attach. Looks pretty much the same as your blank does.

Thanks for the pics! They are really helpful.

You're right, my hitch looks just like yours. Now I know that mine looks like a Kubota hitch is suppose to.

SSQA plates and dimensions are a standard spec for all SSQA devices, that makes them universal for tractors and skid steers. ;)

We have to remember that its ssqa, if it was built with close tolerances for a nice snug fit, likely it would no longer be quick attatch.

I would like to shop for a used set of quick attach pallet forks for my L3560, and had stopped at my dealer. Someone there said you have to be careful of the age, that they went to put some ssqa forks on something and they didn't fit. So I looked on my loader manual and it said "non Kubota attachments must comply with ISO 24410 first edition 2005 -04 -15" which seems to go under the name SSQA. So what I wonder is how you tell on used stuff what specs it was made to without making all those measurement? Are they usually labeled somewhere? If it is newer than 2005 it " ought" to fit?

Everything from my Case 1840 ssqa fits well on my Kubota m6800 loader qa. Forks, spears, etc. looks fine to me.

Got my quick attach bucket on Tuesday and it fits perfectly on my hitch. Emailed the plate manufacturer and sent them pics and this video of my issue. Something is not right.

Looks to me like it just needs pulled up and the bottom pin put in. The lack of forward weight that a bucket or other implement would have lets it slide down the top of the mount, and because of the offset at the top, that sliding down the top ramp due to gravity results in kicking out at the bottom.

houser52,
Agree with BadDog, I don't see anything wrong with either the plate or the mount.
It's just doing that because there isn't anything on it. ;)

I have to agree with Wolf and Dog (really?), looks fine, hook the bottom pins and go to work. There has to be some play in the system to attach/detach with the ease it does..
