Whilst having my tractor serviced recently, I discovered why I have never been able to get a fuel filter for it.
Every time I have tried to buy one, they have supplied one that is too long.
It appears that the long filter is actually the correct one, but the fuel bowl has shrunk at the bottom and won't allow it to go all the way in. The mechanic told me he has seen it before, usually when trying to get old filters out.
Someone has found a shorter filter and put that in instead.
Has anybody else ever heard of such a thing?
