It's a KUBOTA L4200 with the basic shuttle shift, transmission, with FEL, 4wd, no cab, or creeper function, about 1,600 hours. Just wondering if anyone knows if going forward to reverse at speeds sub 5mph using the reverser lever is something that the transmission is designed to handle?
Everything I've found related to how is for the gst type not the senronized shuttle shift.
.
One additional bit of information, the previous owner used it for nothing but the FEL on a diary farm. The 3pt looks basically brand new, where the loader is.....well used.
So basically its all ready had way above average back and forth usage. If that makes any difference.
.
I say again this is the base trans with a 4speed shifter and a high/low lever, same sorta 8 speeds with ball park same speeds in each gear, as the more common optional trans, but obviously not the same.
.
Any way thanks in advance.

It can be shifted without the clutch but you shouldn't.
So, No on a synchro shuttle can not safely be shuttled on a moving tractor, you need to clutch on every change.
