I had a customer stop today. He'd been to Lee New Hampshire to buy a grabber shear thing for his 8000 lb excavator. I'd never seen one or even known they made such a thing. He said with the right mount it could be used on a tractor with the quick connect mount. He said it would shear a 7 or 8" tree and then you lay it down where you want. The only thing I'd ever seen like it is the loggers use the sawhead on tracks but runs a large think toothed blade. 20210709_143724 grabber I.jpg 20210709_143730(0) Grabber II.jpg
Heres a photo of it in his truck.

I think Precision Mfg. makes something like that in the USA that fits on your FEL.

Dat's a big ol' bitey thing. Not sure I'd want a 7-8 inch tree attached to the front of an LX, though.

I'm thinking I'd probley fall a tree on myself with that Mini Clip thing and get killed.
I like the idea of the excavator boom mounted shear as its WAY out there and you can twist it and lay it down having some control.
