Serial number?

Bought L2900 4wd dsl.
Have looked at all recommended locations and still can't find the serial number. Closest I've found: l2900D5812 on rh side of transmission.

Your missing a digit: It should be L2900D-XXXXX, the XXXXX being the serial number.

This is why I asked, On that model the serial number doesn't point to specific parts.
Just look at the number closer there is probably a hidden digit at the end of it.
