We have an L3130 that is having an issue with the seat safety switch. I have been desperately trying to locate a schematic that shows the wiring on this tractor. I have not been able to locate the relay (if there is one) that is tripped by the safety switch. Currently the tractor starts with no problem but even when someone is sitting in the seat it clicks and shuts off like the seat is not occupied. When you put the seat forward and push the lever down, it clicks and then it does a second click and all shuts off. I am wondering if it is a defective safety switch or what is clicking under the hood.

And what are you doing when it shuts off, ie selecting gear, releasing clutch, selecting pto etc, etc.

I have an L2501. I solved my seat switch issue by flipping the seat up and noticing the rod on which it flips up was only connected at one end. the other end had slipped out of its hole allowing too much seat movement. A flat washer and a small cotter pin fixed the problem. Check for the dumb stuff first.
