Yes you can "bottle feed" the injection pump.
you will also need to disconnect the electric to the fuel pump.
Remove the fuel line that goes to injection pump.
Temporarily plug that hose.
Remove the electric to the fuel pump.
Add a hose to a container above the injection pump and gravity feed fuel to the injection pump.
Note: Don't try a siphon fuel to the injection pump.

What to do with old fuel and old oil…?? Follow the advice of well-respected authorities and published articles from respected writers, …. Like 1962 article in Popular Science:

Yes and let's all play with our radiation and mercury in our 1960's science kit too! :cautious:

That might work in your dry texas dirt.
Just about anywhere else, and the first rain will have all that oil dispersed all over the ground!

Yeah…we used to bring mercury in small vials to school and use dimes and quarters (actually contained silver back then) to “absorb“ the mercury and become slippery-and-shiney.

I’m personally a big fan of putting an oil drip system into my home made wood stove, but I understand that has its drawbacks.

Still might be preferable to the “from whence it came” method.

I was able to remove the mmm. Now I can work underneath the tractor. There is a small amount of gas in the tank. To begin I'll crimp the fuel line directly after the first filter. Remove that filter and allow the gas in tank to collect in a pan...then vac out remaining.
I can attach a fuel line to the suck side of fuel pump and put other end of line to container of diesel. Prime the line with key in on position.
There seems to be two fuel lines going into tank. This second line goes to an injector and then directly to tank. How does this work?

It sounds like you’re looking at a fuel return line.

Wolfman I was able to remove the mmm, now I'm able to work under tractor. I removed fuel in tank and disconnected fuel line at beginning of fuel pump. I inserted a new line into the suck side of pump and put the other end of line into a container of diesel. I'm attempting to purge old fuel for new but it has not gone far enough. The fuel above the second filter will not travel through the injector lines. It has stopped...
How do I get out of this?

She purrs like a kitten now...such relief like nothing ever happened. Thanks Wolfman and a couple others who gave great suggestions.
I've had so much help on this forum and it got me out of some hairy moments
some time back Don't know how I'd get the BX running without Orange.

Glad you got it running. So was it gas instead of diesel in the tank?

What happened to your original thread?

Attempting to do too many things at once, so that at the gas station you can't tell the difference between the blue handle and the green handle....just pick one up and pump!

I'm surprised gas didn't toast the engine.
Surprisingly it really doesn't do much of anything on the older mechanical injection engines.
Now if it was a High pressure rail system, you would be talking several thousand in damage and repairs.

I did an L3901 a couple of months ago, although it was liquid fertilizer, not gas, over $13,000.00.
