Where have[the one's with cab's and heater's] tied into the motor on there BX tractors. On my D 902 engine on my BX 2370-1 there is a 3/8" NPT plug just under the thermostat that I can remove and put a fitting in to feed the heater. Now the return from the heater would go where ?? All I can think of is that I can get a tee and install it into the lower rad hose [as close to the water pump as possible] it's pretty tight with the Alternator and belt running so close to the hose. Of course where there's lots of room is where the hose has bends etc; Now one thing is do I remove one of the small freeze/frost plugs on the right side of the engine block. Those plugs look to be 3/4" OD. Now what would it be like if I was to make a fitting ?? fit into that frost plug hole that would install the same way as what the block heaters do. It would have to be a snug tap in fit that would be held in with Red thread locker. Once that part is installed I could thread in a 3/8" NPT fitting into the end and connect the return from the heater to that. What do you guys think or do you have any ideas other then returning and feeding from the bypass hose ?? Thanks for any ideas.

I saw your post before and had thought about doing what you did. However I was at my dealer the other day and mentioned to him what I wanted to do with my heater. He called one of his service guys in and had me talk to him.I asked him about connecting my heater to the bypass and ,The first thing the service guy said to me was do not connect to the bypass hose's. He said to use and remove the plug from the thermostat housing for the feed and tee into the lower rad hose for the return??? He also mentioned about using one of those frost plugs.for the return making something like how the block heater mounts into the block. He did stress not to use the bypass..Why I have no idea .Now seeing that this tractor is brand new and will be under warrenty for the next 2 yrs I don't want to do something to void the warrenty. So looks like I'll have to look for a tee that I can use in the lower hose.I don't mean to go against what you've done but I want to keep my warrenty.

OK... the bypass is to let water circulate, so the engine can warm up properly. And yes... running it to a heater core will basically work like a second radiator that is "Bypassing" the radiator...

BUT....

If you are worried about warranty... how is that less evasive over pulling a freeze plug? Besides... if there is an issue, you can pull the hoses, and replace the bypass hose in a minute or two. It will take a lot longer to replace a freeze plug.

Basically... if your dealer, and/or tech can't hand you a fitting for the return... I would use the bypass. (it would be the same thing)

Thanks for all the input, from everyone. This is exactly what I was wanting to hear. It'll be easier for me now to just use the bypass hose fitting's.:p
