Does anybody use a rubber edge on their front bucket for snow on ashpalt. A friend of mine said that I should get one but I never heard of these.

there are dozens of ways to do this ............

one way - cheap too........

this has been used on back blades and it is very effective on gravel.

take a 2" piece of PVC - take a circular saw with small amount of blade exposed (table saw is better) and cut a slit down the length of the pipe, take a straight blade screwdriver and pry it apart and place it on your bucket....the closing pressure of the pvc will keep it on the edge, and unless you get crazy with your bucket , it will not drag up and gravel.

After a while , the pvc will brake , but by that time the winter will be done......OR you hopE!
