Hi Everyone
First id like to say thanks for your time in reading my post. I have been having issues with the idle and starting of my X900 I need to have my foot on the gas to get it to start and constantly on the gas to keep it running. To switch from Neutral to a gear I've been raving it a bit then as it dies down timing it to put it in gear and again stepping on the gas peddle I am assuming this is a fuel filter issue or idle screw/ throttle cable gas pedal linkage. I've checked the air filter but being i have no dealership within a days travel i have not been able to bring it in for a service, or even get a fuel filter so I figured i check hear first to see if there are any recommendations that I should try or check before traveling to get the parts. Prior to this the machine was not used for 4 months and 2 weeks before the muffler broke and I had it welded back together. Any advice be appreciated thanks

Lets clear something up really fast.
That's a diesel not a gas motor.
Have you put gasoline in it?

All those filters are available on Amazon. It may be that someone has improperly attempted to mimic large diesel engines by reducing the idle Too Low rpm. The X900 should idle above 1000 rpm.
(no tachometer, of course…but it should idle only as slowly as it runs SMOOTHLY…. and this will be around 1100 rpm or slightly above.)
