My machine has an intermittent fuel related problem. Climbing hills at full throttle the engine will occasionally stumble and try to die. If you back off the throttle you can usually keep the machine running. Sometimes we can go weeks without the problem showing up and other times it happens several times a day. Always heading up hill under load. Fuel filter is new and fuel quality appears to be excellent, I have two tractors and a zero turn mower that use the same fuel and they are not having any problems.
I am curious if PSB-2020-009 Fuel injection pump (Page 1 Attached) may be the problem with my RTV-X. Reading the PSB, it mentions over fueling and engine shut down problems. It does not mention fuel starvation. My S/N is 14073 and falls under the PSB but I would guess I am outside the window of coverage.
My only other though is maybe the fuel lift pump is getting weak. It seems like the problem happens more often when the fuel tank is below 3/4 tank. I did try swapping the fuel tank cap with one taken off the ZD mower and nothing changed.
I would appreciate feedback and troubleshooting advise.
