I bought an updated driveshaft(the one piece with cv joints on both ends) for my 900. I'm having a problem on install. I can't seem to compress the driveshaft enough to put it on the shaft. I have jacked up both ends, rear end only, front end only, and both on the floor but can't seem to get that last 1/4" I need to get the driveshaft on. Anyone have any tips please?

I saw your post about a LARGE hammer in the other thread here, and now I get it.

I wish I could help, and know EXACTLY where you're attitude is at.

Hang in there, it'll come!!! Resist the BFH!!!:D

GOT IT!!! I called my brother in law to come back to help. The driveshaft was on the shaft on the front end. I got underneath the machine and pulled while he was up top putting it on the output shaft. We got it to collapse enough then for it to start on the shaft barely and then with a pry bar pushed it the rest of the way on. Then put the rtv in 2wd so we could turn the splines to match up. It all finally went together. VERY VERY VERY tight getting the shaft on but it worked. Hopefully this new shaft will last longer then u joints. Keeping my fingers crossed
