What is the threaded hole for on the rops? It's right where they hinge.

Looks like a way to stop them from shaking back and forth anyone know what size bolt it takes?

You are correct! They used to have a knob and screw combo that would take up the slop in the two halves.

You can use a bolt or I believe that ZD, BX and some of the older B series had the knobs.

Really? Wonder why they stopped doing it. The robs drive me crazy after a hour or so!

I have an L 3301 and it also has the bolt in it. It has a bolt with a lock nut on it. The hole in the ROP has a nut welded to it. The head on this bolt has a head the size of a 3/8 bolt so whatever the metric size would be . Hope that helps you
