My current loader valve/joystick is worn smooth out. I recently picked up a replacement from Summit Hydraulics (very good experience with them throughout this process by the way. Spoke with them several times for help)

I’m currently working through getting the right size fittings but had a question in regards to hydraulic line locations on the new valve.

My old valve had the 4 working valves labeled “A, B, C, D”. The new valve from Summit is labeled “A1, A2, B1, B2”

Is there an easy way to know which port each line should go to? Or is it trial and error?

thanks,
Tyler

Diagram of the new valve & pics of the old valve if it helps any.

I’m no hydraulic guru so if one of the true experts shows up go with what they say, but two things:

1) Based on your question, you have Tank, Pump, and Power Beyond identified and know where they go so you got the most important part. If you aren’t sure on those, you need to be before firing it up. Those aren’t trial and error.

2) @Summit Hydraulics should be able to identify A1/A2 and B1/B2 as boom or bucket if the paperwork you have doesn’t. Since that’s the only question, you could hook them up and swap them if they’re backward, but I’d review the paperwork again to see if you missed it and ask Summit if it isn’t in the documentation.

A1 abd B1 control the lift (boom)..

A2 and B2 control the bucket.

I cant tell you which of those is rod and base ends but trial and error is easy. Hook them up and if the control lever operates backwards reverse the couplers.
