I am going to replace the stock 12" long center link mount

I need to be able to accommodate a post hole digger,
I have two pieces of angle iron that will work, already have the correct holes for the pin.

The only question I have is, "how much space is required for a standard post hole digger"?

I understand that the 1.625" on the 12" is probably not enough.

Do you have a tractor supply or other farm supply store that might have PHD's on display? I'd just measure as many brands of cat 1 PHD's as I could. I wouldn't think that they'd manufacture them to need a wider top link bracket than stock, but I've been wrong before. I'd measure the ones you've found for sale by the side of the road too if they're not too far out of your way.

Yes that is an option, albeit an hour drive one way option and I don't think they have PHDs in stock, our Tractor Supply is pretty pathetic when it comes to keeping large items in house.

I was hoping someone could just give me the dimensions for a stock L175 bracket.

If worst comes to worst I'll just make it over sized and call it good.

My large cat 1/2 PHD is only 1" from the center of the pin to the back side.
My 3 point center link bracket is 1 3/4 from the back of the case to the center of the holes.

Sorry to hear about the stocking at TSC. Locally they all keep their yards pretty well stocked as Runnings and Fleet Farm do. I'm assuming that you're talking about width when you're talking about space. To me, it doesn't look like you've got room to go much wider than the 12" bracket without D&T'ing new holes in the trans case unless you flip the angle iron so that the flanges go in instead of out and go way wider. I should be able to get some measurements if I can remember to do it. We've got a TSC that's only a couple of miles out of my way to my sportsman's club meeting tonight.

The TSC I went to last night didn't have them either. Pretty sure that the fleet farm and runnings have them though.
