I have an older L3350 with BF900 loader. Bucket is not in best of shape, thinking about adding one of those quick attach adapters and using a more readily available skid steer bucket. Other than the cost of the adapter, added weight of the adapter taking away load lift capacity, are there any other disadvantages? Any particular type quick attach bucket work best?

I have a l3450 and added SSQA to my Woods loader and it's the best thing I've ever done!

Get a tractor SSQA bucket apposed to a Skid steer bucket, the geometry is better suited.
any other attachment works about the same.

Thanks for the reply. Most everything I see when I search Quick Attach buckets pertains to skid steers, not tractor buckets. Is there one in particular you could point me towards as a starting point?

You need a 60" bucket any wider becomes unruly.

I would first check with some local Kubota dealers as you might get one off the lot or included in their bulk order and not have to pay shipping.

Here are a couple options, yes they say skid steer but the are the right geometry for you.

Light weight: (really good choice)

Heavy weight (you'll loose some lift with this option)

Have you found the SSQA adapter yet?

Thanks again,, have not chosen the SSQA adapter yet, still in discovery phase, any suggestions surely welcome. What you said about the right geometry I guess was the real purpose of question, although you phrased it much better. OEM Kubota buckets aside, what makes an aftermarket SSQA bucket a good fit for a tractor, what doesn't? The two buckets you've listed here look very close to tractor's original bucket,, not like what I see on the local garden center skid steer that loads my truck up with mulch. FYI, the current BF900 bucket is 70" wide.

The dimensions that get skewed on Skid steer buckets that don't work well on tractors are these:
The bottom is lengthened and the height in the rear is shortened.
