I have a B3350SUHSD-D 4WD tractor. I bought it new in 2014 and I'm thinking of replacing the original battery this summer. The battery is 11 years old and I don't think it will make it another winter. I did not see any info in the owner's manual about battery replacement, so I thought that I would ask here if anyone has some tips or experiences that I could learn from.

1. Keep the same chemistry as the original (I assume lead-acid). That is what the charging circuit is designed to handle - other chemistries may charge differently.

2. Put the new battery on a full charge before using.

3. Same size battery. As good or more cold-cranking amps. Don't be surprised if the battery replacement has gone through revisions.

4. Good time to check the connecting cables and all terminations. New battery, use grease or spray battery sealer on the posts and connectors to the posts to keep a good conductance.

Something often neglected is the ground cable where it attaches to the frame. Might remove it, clean to a shine and bolt back down.
