I'm having a problem with the headlights on my BX2350. It seems like the bulbs only last about 15 or 20 hours before failure. Is there a REASONABLY priced LED replacement for the GE 896 Halogen bulb that came originally in the tractor?? I have tried all the auto parts stores within 50 miles of me and NO ONE even has or can get the original bulb, let alone one that is LED.

Any suggestions will be appreciated. :)

check this place....

https://www.superbrightleds.com/car-bulb-cross-reference/

place in the drop down - your 896 and then another will pop up 881

but DAYYYYUM them little buggers are $$$$$$$$ well - not that awful bad - 15 each

is it the same side or both sides blowing? I rarely use my front lights, the LED mounted ones are 10 times better and are a hellva lot cheaper than these~:D:)

85hokie,

Thanks for the link. I'll probably try there when budget permits (fixed income). Yes, BOTH sides go out within about 3 or 4 hours of each other. I think it is from the vibration of the tractor. When starting or stopping the engine it shakes a lot. Just thought I'd try the LED bulbs and see what happens. :)

funny you mention the shaking - I find that my BX25 shakes like crazy shutting off.......(jaaaammmmes bond - shaken - not stirred:))

those LED at $15 per side would solve that issue - specially if you are going through bulbs at 3-4 bucks per unit.

85hokie,

Yes it gets expensive FAST ! ! Bulbs at dealer are $16.50 each. I just found them at O'Reilly's Auto for about $5.50 each. Even at that, it is off the page for our budget. I'll try one of those other links above for the LEDs.

I opted for the second link NIW has above and they have worked good for me. I also have monster LED floodlights on the roof of my cab so the output wasn't that important. In fact I was just trying to reduce the wattage load on the tractor by replacing the bulbs because I've added a heater and additional lighting.

They are not as bright as the factory bulbs but they will get the job done and I paid $8.99 shipped for the pair so I'm not complaining!
