Removing front drive shaft on B8200

I've tried everything to remove the oil pan drain plug but the threads are shot. It will not tighten or loosen and it doesn't leak either.
I've come to the decision to remove the oil pan and replace it.
I could use some advice on how to best remove the front drive shaft and oil pan.
Does the drive shaft need to be separated from the front differential?

Remove the 3 bolts (Red) on the shield, then pull it back then remove the roll pin (blue).
