A rear wheel off of my RTV 1100X-c was destroyed yesterday. Both wheel studs backed out and then the wheel bolts loosened up. In the picture the studs were at the 2 and 8 O-clock positions. I last torqued the wheel in April to 80lbft. 75 hours of use since torqued. I chased the threads on wheel flange and they cleaned up really well. All new fasteners (Fortunately I have spare rims on hand) and it is back in service.

Agreed.

Neighbor destroyed a rear wheel on his Mahindra when he continued to use it after the lug bolts loosened. PITA with Rim Guard.

Dealers are supposed to retorque lug bolts as part of PDI but most do not.

Why are you not torquing to 95 lb-ft as listed by Kubota?
