Product Improvement Campaign AG03616-L60 engine closed crankcase ventilation.

We are sending you this letter because our records show that you purchased a L3560HSTCC and Kubota is voluntarily conducting a campaign that applies to your unit.

Campaign Description: (Replacing L60 engine closed crankcase ventilation).

Well I asked my wife to call and make an appointment this morning and the service guy said they would be replacing the alternator with a bigger one and new wiring harness with a heater wire running through it as they were having complaints about hard to start in extreme cold weather, a problem I've never had in the 2 winters I've owned it but I'm not about to say no. Any way they said they'd be out next week to make the repairs, I guess we'll see.

Maybe the L60 with closed crankcase ventilation is the engine they had the reported problems with. So to remedy the start problem they make the alt. change.

My thoughts exactly. Guess we'll just have to wait till next week to see if they got their wires crossed.

I think it is a "cold weather" package. I heard about it, or at least someone posted a couple of months ago, and so I asked my dealer to run my 3560s serial number to see if there were any outstanding recalls, and nope, it is for the more northerly folks. There was a recall a couple years ago to insulate the oil separator, and I think this new recall adds heated covers for some lines to keep water vapor from freezing stuff up? Hence the need for more electricity. This might not be exactly it, but something along these lines.
