I have noticed the nearside rear wheel on my BX22 is starting to sieze up. It causes the offside wheel to spin when I accelerate. The tractor does not seem to roll freely as if the brakes are half on. What should I check to remedy please?

First double check the model number, is it a BX22 or BX22XX and a serial number might help narrow it down too.

Check out the WSM and ask questions along the way.
I would start with checking brake operation.

I am thinking that my problem likely to be seized axle bearing or brake problem. The tractor does have corrosion around the rear axle and I live by the coast. I do not detect any wheel wobble.
I do not have a tractor jack yet so have not lifted the wheel off the ground. Looking at the wheel nuts they look extremely rusty so hope I can get these undone. I think I have to remove the centre pinch bolt/cotter pin to remove the wheel. Then remove the axle casing to pull the axle out to replace the bearing. I will be able to check brakes when I get it up in the air. Not sure how these work yet!
