Recently picked up a BX2200 with FEL and loving it! Thinking about snow clearing this winter along with landscaping our new building lot and I have been keeping an eye out for a rear blade. What do you think of this 4ft blade? Should I hold out for a 5ft?

The blade in the ad looks larger than 4 feet to me. Blade tilt can be vary useful, but I don't see it on that blade.

A 4 foot blade will only be about 34 inches wide when angled.

I would hold out for a 5 with tilt

Definitely go a 5' blade or you won't be happy. If only for the snowman 0560 would be good but for dirt get a 1560 as the extra weight will help to cut when you need it.

As the owner of a 4 ft blade for my BX, let me advise you to heed the others' advice and get a 5 footer. Mine is used for the rare snow events we experience in the Carolina's, for which it's adequate, but the larger one would be more effective and a BX would handle it readily. Filling the rear tires makes a difference in traction, and operating a BX is one thing where it helps if the operator has some extra ballast as well!
